MN586 BTEC HNC level 4 in Health & Social Care

COURSE LENGTH:

8-12 months

AWARD:

BTEC/EDEXCEL Higher National Certificate level 4. Learners who enroll specifically on the HNC qualification will be awarded the HNC on successful completion of 5 core units and 3 specialist units worth 120 credit value. Learners enrolled on the combined HND will progress to Level 5 HND to complete 8 units worth 125 credits.

COURSE OUTCOME:

The course aims at combining theory and contemporary practices to equip students with understanding of the social, economic and environmental factors and issues and their impact on health. The course aims to prepare students for general community health, social work and environmental roles. The graduates will be suitable for employment in governmental and voluntary organisations promoting health and safe, sustainable environment.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:

GCSE/”O” level or 2 “A” levels and/or relevant work experience. English language qualification is required for international applicants.

FEES

UK/EU nationals £1800, international learners £2000 for the whole 1-year course. Tuition fees exclude registration fees to Edexcel of £155.60 plus VAT.

18-24 Months

AWARD:

BTEC/EDEXCEL Higher National Diploma Level 5. Learners coming on to level 5 (year 2) will have completed 8 level 4 units in year 1 or completed the HNC Level 4 qualification worth 120 credits. In year 2 rated level 5, they go on to complete a further 120 credits to make a total of 240 plus credit value needed to successfully complete and be awarded the HND level 5 in Health & Social Care.

ATHE Level 6 Diploma in Healthcare Management

The ATHE Diploma in Healthcare Management is a 120 credit qualification. Learners must complete the 6 mandatory units plus a further 4 or 5 optional units.

Mandatory Units (70 Credits)

Learners must complete six mandatory units totalling 70 credits. They must complete either Managing Finance in the Public Sector or Financial Decision Making for Managers.

8-14 months

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:

Level 5 qualification in Healthcare or related field and relevant work experience. English language qualification is required for international applicants.
